Berdal provides quality products. This quality is also an expression of the way in which we make these products. It’s all about sustainability from A to Z - and then back to A again (recycling). This is a continuous process in which Berdal is taking huge innovative strides with ambitious production methods and techniques as well as the use of recycled plastics. These points can be found in our quality standards.

We not only strive to create the highest quality products, but also to guarantee the highest quality in the ways that we create them. This is why Berdal is now the proud bearer of the ISO 9001-2015 certificate, which is the international standard, for our quality management system. Simply put, this certification is the proof that we always say what we will do and do what we say. The Dutch branch of TÜV conducts an inspection for this annually.
REACH and Berdal
REACH stands for: Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and restriction of Chemicals. Our entire selection meets REACH requirements. We always do business in accordance with the REACH regulations, as do our suppliers.

DIN Certification
For its knee pads, Berdal has received the Tuinman no. 14, the Harmonica no. 13 and 13V, and the DIN 14404-EN: 2010 certification. In order to obtain these, the products were tested using pressure distributed across an artificial knee. Resistance to penetration and impact were measured as well. The comfort of the knee pad is assessed and the elasticity of the band is checked.
Get grip on quality
Our Gripline mortar tubs are made of 100% recycled, certified materials that have been resourced from plastic household rubbish. The Gripline buckets are at 80% because they have a steel handle. That is why Berdal received the “Der Blaue Engel” certification in 2014: the official German environmental certification mark.

TÜV Certification
The TÜV certificates indicate that Berdal meets the standards set for safety, quality, environment, energy, CSR, and sustainability. In construction, it is very important for the safety of people working with Berdal buckets and tubs that these items have the required loading capacity. The TÜV certification for these Berdal products are proof of this.

The Plastics Pact
Berdal has been affiliated with the Plastic Pact, an initiative supported by the European Union, since July 2019. This gives us the clear target of using 20% less plastic in 2025 than we did in 2018. In addition, the collection of plastic and production using recycled raw materials are being greatly encouraged.
C2C Quality Mark
C2C stands for 'Cradle-to-cradle'. This international quality mark assesses carriers on the basis of material recycling, the use of renewable energy and responsible water use, among other things. Depending on their score, participants are awarded a bronze, silver, gold or platinum certificate.
