Launch of PremiumFol
Premiumfol allows home handymen to work with a complete range for air and waterproofing developed to professional standards. Due to its ease of use and high quality, DIYers easily and quickly solve various sealing problems of roofs, gutters and facades around their homes.
Start with Foliefol
Foliefol is our first range of technical films, packaging products and tarpaulins. From now on, our customers could assemble their product range from one supplier instead of several. In 2022 Foliefol ceased to exist as a brand and construction foils and technical foils were integrated within the Pandser total concept.
Start of production in Poland
With the establishment of trading company Budo-Plast, our production in Poland begins.
Start with Gripline
Under the name Gripline, we start producing and supplying construction buckets, building pits and mallet caps, among others, for the hardware, construction and DIY sectors. We keep quality and durability in our own hands through in-house production in the Netherlands and Poland.
Takeover of HK Plastics
Our organisation grows by acquiring HK Plastics, with two branches in the Netherlands and one in the UK.
Bas van Kamperdijk Managing Director
Bas, who has officially worked for Berdal since 1997, takes over as managing director from his father Gert-Jan.
Start with FENTO
As a premium partner of FENTO, we supply knee braces developed in cooperation with physiotherapists and based on user experience. The perfect fit and balanced pressure distribution ensure good working posture and thus prevent knee and back injuries.
Start with Pandser
Pandser offers a total concept for construction professionals. The range includes various foil types, durable EPDM strips, lead substitutes, tools and accessories for sealing roof, gutter and facade.

By working to ISO standards, we secure and improve our processes to increase customer satisfaction.
Partner The Plastic Pact
As a partner of the Dutch Plastic Pact, we support the goal of using 20% less plastic in 2025 than in 2018. In addition, we further increase plastic collection and the use of recycled raw materials.
Cradle to Cradle hallmark
We achieve Cradle to Cradle certification for our roofing, waterproofing strips and waterproof EPDM films of the Pandser and Premiumfol brands. Professionals and home handymen can now build circularly with our EPDM.
Takeover of Loadlok Retail B.V.
At Berdal, we continuously strive to expand our service and product range. Through the development of sustainable rubber and plastic solutions, but also through our range of A-brands such as Gripline, Foliefol, Premiumfol, Pandser and FENTO. This is why we acquired Loadlok Retail with effect from 1 July 2021.

50th anniversary
We celebrate jubilee year 2022 with a festive event for all employees from the Netherlands and Poland. We are also working on the further development of our brand portfolio.
Rebranding brandportofolio
To continue offering our products successfully at wholesalers and retail chains in the future, we are further developing our strong brands. This way, we make it even easier for professionals and DIY enthusiasts to choose user-friendly, durable materials and high-quality tools. The updated house styles and sharpened resources - both online and offline - make our products more recognisable and, together with our dealers, we respond even better to changing market conditions.
Expansion to Berdal Polska
After 23 years, we have expanded our subsidiary Budo-Plast and converted it to Berdal Polska. With a spacious premises and new production machines, we now introduce Pandser, Konvox and FENTO in Poland, in addition to Gripline.
FD Gazellen Award nominated and won
Berdal is an FD Gazelle for three years in a row. This means we are consistently among the fastest-growing organisations in the large company category in the East Region. This year, we may call ourselves FD Gazelle International! An extension of the award ceremony, for companies with international success.
Expansion into Germany with FENTO and Premiumfol
In addition to the FENTO partnership in the Benelux, we are actively launching FENTO in the German building materials market. We organise activities, expand the sales team and initiate special promotions. In addition, with Premiumfol, we are introducing our EPDM concept at Hornbach Germany to accelerate the growth of EPDM in Germany.
Robotising production logistics with OTTO
With the introduction of OTTO, we are taking the final step in production automation. This new system automatically moves pallets of products from the injection moulding machine to the packaging machine, for a faster production process.
Salco distributor for Belgium
Since 2024, Salco is our new logistics and facilities partner in Belgium. After 15 years of Gripline distribution, Salco is expanding our partnership with three new brands: Pandser, Konvox and FENTO.
Werkpakt hallmark for social entrepreneurship
We are proud to receive the Werkpakt seal of approval for social entrepreneurship, recognising our long-term commitment to inclusiveness and providing opportunities for jobseekers. Bas van Kamperdijk: ‘Social entrepreneurship is in our DNA.’
EURO MAT ‘Sustainability Innovation Award’
At the EURO-MAT Innovation Trade Show, we received the trophy for ‘most innovative partner in circularity’. Export managers Wouter Hof and William Boxem accepted the trophy on behalf of Berdal. William: ‘This award is a wonderful reward from all market leaders in our industry, for our vision and strategy on sustainability, recycling and circularity.’
