Insight into the environmental impact of our products

Sustainability is embedded in everything we do. A key part of our sustainability strategy is measuring and reducing the environmental impact of our products. That’s why we’ve carried out Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for our first four product groups: buckets, tubs and EPDM foil.

What is an LCA?

An LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) maps out the full environmental footprint of a product, process, or service — from raw material to end-of-life. It looks at:

  • The raw materials required
  • The production process and transport
  • The usage of the product
  • What happens when the product is discarded or recycled

These assessments help us make targeted sustainability improvements and to be fully transparent about the environmental impact of our products.

From LCA to EPD

The results of an LCA are documented in an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration). This report provides insights into, for example, CO₂ emissions, energy use and the product’s reusability. You can think of an EPD as the product’s "environmental passport". It offers valuable information to customers and partners who prioritise sustainability — for example, in the context of certifications or public tenders.

Why is this important?

  • Customers can better compare our products based on sustainability
  • It supports certification and procurement processes
  • It matches our ambition to work transparently and is in line with our circular principles
  • It helps us anticipate (future) environmental reporting obligations
