Sustainable product design

Since 2021, we have been producing our buckets, tubs and bins using less plastic. In 2018, we set ourselves the goal of using 20% less plastic in 2025 than we did in 2018. Thanks to these changes, we are well on our way to achieving that goal and are already saving 810,000 kilograms of raw materials annually.

Recycled raw materials

We believe that at the end of its life, every product is a raw material for a new product, without compromising on quality. Together with our suppliers and retail partners, future-oriented machinery, and a wealth of knowledge and experience, we strive for a high-quality range of rubber and plastic products and concepts that consist entirely of renewable raw materials.

Benefits for our partners

  • More sustainable products: products made with less plastic and more recycled material, without compromising on quality.
  • Lower environmental impact: we reduce the use of primary raw materials and close the plastic cycle.
  • Circular collaboration: partners actively contribute to reuse and a more sustainable construction sector.

reuse & recycling

Since 1995, we have been using as many recycled raw materials as possible in our production processes. We work with recycling companies that turn household waste into granulate. All our production waste is fully reused as base material for our construction buckets, mortar tubs and bins. This creates a recycling chain and enables us to produce in a highly sustainable manner. In this way, we can guarantee that we use 100% recycled polyethylene as the basis for our products.

more sustainable production

We develop equivalent products that require fewer raw materials. The buckets, tubs and bins in our Gripline Durable series are just as strong as traditional buckets, but are produced with 20% less plastic. This saved us no less than 810,000 kilograms of raw materials in 2021.

Circular plastics chain

In 2025, we joined the Circular Plastics Alliance (CPA), a European initiative committed to a fully circular plastics chain. The aim is to ensure that plastic does not end up as waste, but is reused again.

The CPA brings together companies and organisations from various sectors to develop innovative and circular plastic solutions. By pooling knowledge and resources, we are working to reduce waste and lower CO₂ emissions.

Together with the alliance, we are investigating how waste streams from the construction and production chain can be utilised even more effectively. With our knowledge of recycled plastic, we continue to develop new circular applications and strengthen our sustainable position in the sector.

Return of buckets, tubs and bins

In 2023, together with Plastic Pact and Polymer Science Park, we developed an initiative to collect used construction buckets, tubs and bins from DIY stores. This year, we are starting a pilot in the Netherlands to test the feasibility of a fully circular system. Used plastic products find their way back to us as a manufacturer through recycling. Our aim is to expand this concept to other European countries at a later stage.
